A Handful of Isolated Thunderstorms

It has been a great Saturday weatherwise for most locations in Central Alabama. A few isolated thunderstorms did develop and even a few continue rumbling across areas of West Alabama. Portions of Tuscaloosa, Pickens, Perry, Marengo and Dallas Counties are seeing heavy rain and intense lightning.

These storms will continue to move west the next couple of hours before winding down after the sun sets. Most areas across the state will have a pleasant evening with dry conditions and relatively comfortable temperatures.

Heading into your Sunday, showers should be even more isolated, as drier air works into the state. The drier air mass will hamper most thunderstorm development.
