Two Active Tropical Systems in the Atlantic

| September 16, 2013 @ 10:30 am

Hurricane Ingrid made landfall overnight on the eastern shore of Mexico. Very heavy rain is falling and mudslides are expected in the region being impacted. Ingrid has weakened to a tropical storm and being over land will continue to weaken and should dissipate over the next couple of days.

This morning, Humberto came back from the dead as the remnants have once again reached tropical storm strength. Humberto is a minimal tropical storm and it will continue to move north.

Neither storm will impact the U.S. and the rest of the Atlantic Basin is fairly calm.
