Drying Out, Hello Sunshine

| January 11, 2014 @ 1:13 pm

What a difference a few hours makes.

A rough start to the day as a strong line of storms moved across the state. The storms made it through a majority of the state before any reached severe limits, but there were several severe storms across the eastern half of the state. All storms and rain have cleared the state as we look at the radar across the region. Most locations across Alabama are getting the chance to dry out with a few exceptions in the extreme southern counties as a few showers persist, but those will be out of the state in just a little while.

For the rest of you Saturday it is going to be hard to find a complaint with the weather. Depending where you are in the state, temps are ranging from the upper 50s across the north, to 60s in Central Alabama, to even some 70s along the Gulf Coast. The sun will be in full force as only a few clouds remain across the state. A new, drier air mass is moving in behind the front and this air mass will ensure the rest of the weekend across Alabama will be terrific.
