The weather is improving across much of Alabama as we head through the rest of the afternoon. We are slowly beginning to see the clouds move out of the area and sunshine is returning. Most areas will see mostly sunny conditions before the sun sets this evening, and we expect clear skies overnight.

Our temperatures are slowly warming this afternoon, even though there is brisk north wind which is bringing in a drier and slightly cooler air mass into the state this afternoon. Most locations in Central Alabama will see high in the lower to mid-60s. Locations in the Tennessee Valley will likely stay in the 50s today, unless they can get enough clearing to allow the sun to warm the area. Across southern portions of the state, upper 60s and 70s are being felt this afternoon.

Overnight we will see a range in temps across the state for overnight lows. Areas to the south will see 40s, while areas along and north of Interstate 20 will likely see mid-to-upper 30s. By tomorrow, expect the clouds to be out of here and it will be a day of full sunshine. Highs will range from the upper 60s to lower 70s across all of Alabama.
