Continued Clearing, Much Cooler Overnight

Most areas of the state were finally able to see a fair amount of sunshine late this afternoon, after having mostly cloudy conditions for most of the day. The cloud cover that is still present late this evening, will continue to move out of the area overnight. It would be nice to see the cloud cover hang around through the overnight hours which would help keep our temps up some throughout the night, but it does appear that by about 1 or 2 AM what clouds are left, should be out of the area.

Already seeing some cool temps across the state with 40s present throughout the Tennessee Valley, low 50s along the Interstate 20 corridor, mid 50s along the U.S. 80 and Interstate 85, and 60s down towards the Gulf Coast. These temps will continue to fall through the overnight hours and with the clearing sky and our winds decreasing,  we are expecting most locations across Central Alabama to have lows in the mid to upper 30s.

Tomorrow will be the complete opposite of today. Sunshine and blue skies in all directions. Highs will warm into the 60s for central portions of the state, while 70s are expected down south. Sunday will be the first of several incredible weather days ahead.
