Those pesky showers and thunderstorms hanging touch across Alabama late tonight. A number of places around the state still getting lots of lightning and heavy rain as late as 10:45 pm. These notes:

….Strongest storms in the state were clustered across Colbert County in NW Alabama where a Significant Weather Alert was in place until at least 11:15 pm. A Flash Flood Warning is also in effect until 1:30 am.

….Cluster of storms across East Tuscaloosa and SW Jefferson Couny. Producing loud thunderstorm and heavy rain, Skywatcher reports from that general area:
0.65 South Hueytown
1.41 Concord/Hueytown

….Lots of rain from Bibb County south to Dallas County

….Heavy rain over parts of Blount County

….Widespread rain and some thunderstorms SE Alabama especially from about Troy southward.

We will continue to watch.
