Late Morning Radar Check

Heavy rain is falling with showers and storms that continue to move across West Alabama. There are some gusty winds, small hail, frequent lightning and loud thunder with this activity. It is affecting locations up and down the U.S. Highway 43 corridor currently and this activity continues to move north and east. It will be affecting the Interstate 65 corridor and the Birmingham Metro during the next hour or two.

None of this activity is currently severe, but there are a few strong cells embedded within the overall convection.
