The weather pattern for the next week continues to look dry as we see a warming trend with highs climbing into the 80s tomorrow and staying there for the next seven days.

Our Skywatcher in Black Creek reported a low of 37 this morning, so we have started the day out on the coolish side but we should recover nicely well into the 70s for the afternoon highs.

The surface pattern will feature a high pressure system over the northern Gulf of Mexico which will keep the Southeast US cut off from any significant moisture increase. That along with an upper ridge should lead to a dry weekend and a dry week ahead. The highs today will be in the middle and upper 70s warming into the lower and mid 80s for Sunday and into the work week ahead.

The upper trough which has brought several days of cooler weather to Central Alabama after the multiple rounds of thunderstorms early in the week has finally edged by and will be replaced with an upper ridge for much of the next seven days. A strong upper trough works its way into the southern Rockies by the end of the week, but the ridge is quite strong and will keep that trough at bay until late in the weekend. Saturday is on the edge of voodoo country, but right now the timing in both the GFS and ECMWF indicates our greatest chance for wet weather will hold off until Sunday.

The great weather extends to the beaches, too, with highs in the 80s and lows in the 60s.
