The latest radar showed a concentration of storms in about three locations in Central Alabama.

The biggest was in an area from Jasper to Samantha to near Hueytown and back to Jasper.

The second smaller area was in southern Blount County and northern Jefferson County. The area went from near Gardendale to near Oneonta including Kimberly and Lehigh.

The third area was from about Gadsden to just north of Piedmont to near Jacksonville and back to Gadsden.

All storms were moving southward around 15 to 20 mph.

Lots of lightning was occurring along with heavy rain, very heavy rain like frog strangler type, and the potential for hail and damaging wind.
