Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Greene, Hale Counties

That strong storm that came out of Mississippi has the potential of being severe (producing hail of quarter size or greater) so the National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for locations downstream of its current location.

Eutaw is getting hit hard right now with torrential rain and strong gusty winds. Akron and Greensboro are in the path.

Forkland is probably getting hail and Sawyerville and Greensboro are likely to see the largest hail.

* AT 806 AM CST…THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE INDICATED A SEVERE
THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING QUARTER SIZE HAIL…AND DAMAGING
WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH. THIS STORM WAS LOCATED NEAR WALDEN
QUARTERS…OR 8 MILES SOUTH OF EUTAW…AND MOVING NORTHEAST AT 40
MPH.
