Storms Firing Over Northwest Alabama

4-19-2015 1-48-46 PMShowers continue to grow across northwestern Alabama and northeastern Mississippi this afternoon ahead of an upper level disturbance.

A strong storm is over northern Pickens and southeastern Lamar Counties moving into Fayette and northwestern Tuscaloosa Counties. It already has lots of lightning and heavy rain.

Other incipient storms are over southern Marion County and over western Jefferson County.

This activity will become strong through the afternoon hours. Severe is possible, but will not be widespread.
