Tornado Watch In Effect Until 8 a.m.

The NWS has issued a tornado watch for parts of North and Central Alabama.

Counties included are: Fayette, Greene, Lamar, Pickens, Sumter, Tuscaloosa.

The watch goes until 8:00 AM CDT.

THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A

* TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF
WESTERN ALABAMA
CENTRAL AND NORTHERN MISSISSIPPI

* EFFECTIVE THIS SATURDAY MORNING FROM 1245 AM UNTIL 800 AM CDT.

* PRIMARY THREATS INCLUDE…
A COUPLE TORNADOES POSSIBLE
SCATTERED DAMAGING WINDS LIKELY WITH ISOLATED SIGNIFICANT GUSTS
TO 75 MPH POSSIBLE
ISOLATED LARGE HAIL EVENTS TO 1.5 INCHES IN DIAMETER POSSIBLE

SUMMARY…SQUALL LINE WITH EMBEDDED SUPERCELLS AND BOWS NOW NEAR THE
MS RIVER WILL CONTINUE GENERALLY E ACROSS MS AND PARTS OF AL LATER
THIS MORNING WITH A CONTINUING CHANCE FOR A COUPLE TORNADOES…IN
ADDITION TO DAMAGING WIND AND MARGINALLY SEVERE HAIL.
