Have spent the last half hour watching the Key West Doppler radar loop and it sure seems like Fay is centered directly over Key West at this time. She has spread bands of showers and thunderstorms, including a lot of heavy rain, well inland. There will be another Advisory at 4:00 this aftenroon Alabama time. Meanwhile, here are a few spot reports in the bad weather country:

Flamingo…wind east 28, gusts to 43 mph
Naples…light rain, wind east 18, gusts 26
Miami…rain, wind east 13, gusts to 25
Marathon…raining so hard that visibility 1/4 mile, wind SE 25, gusts 45
Key West International Airport…cloudy, wind east 7 (That light wind is a good indication they are in the eye. The barometer was 29.51 inches.)
Sombrero Key…wind SE 60, gusts to 66 mph
Molasses Reef…wind SE 40, gusts to 49, water temperature a warm 86
Orlando…rain, wind south 6
Melbourne…cloudy, wind SE 8
Tampa…cloudy, wind south 7
West Kendall…steady rain, wind east 18, gusts 35
Homestead…steady rain wind east 18, gusts 38
