Showers and Storms Getting an Early Start

Scattered showers and storms have formed across Central Alabama this morning.

One storm is over western Jefferson County west of Bessemer. It will move toward Bessemer, Midfield and Lipscomb.

Others are forming near Northport in Tuscaloosa County and one is south of Boligee in West Alabama. A developing storm is between Wilsonville and Chelsea in Shelby County.

Developing storms are north of Marvel or west of Maylene in Shelby County and one is forming just south of Acton Road in southern Jefferson County into northern Shelby.

In Northeast Clay County, there is a storm near Delta or northeast of Lineville.

Everything is moving generally but erratically to the east.

Watch for lightning and brief heavy rain.

Showers and storms will be on the increase through the day and will be prevalent through Saturday across Central Alabama.
