Flash Flood Watch

National Weather Service in Mobile has posted a Flash Flood Watch for part of South Central Alabama and the west part of the Florida Panhandle mainly for Saturday afternoon through Sunday.

Due to Fay, of course. By the time she reaches that area, she will likely be down to a tropical depression. Remember, a tropical depression can often dump as much rain as a tropical storm or hurricane.

NWS warns that rain totals for the entire event could reach 10 to 15 inches with localized heavier amounts. This much rain will result in significant flash flooding starting Saturday afternoon through late Sunday. Also, may be widespread flooding of rivers and streams well into next week.
