COLDER: A new surge of cold air is pushing into North Alabama this afternoon with clouds and a chilly north wind. Temperatures are falling through the 40s over the northern third of the state this afternoon, but with a sunny sky we are seeing mostly 50s across the southern counties.
COLD: Some North Alabama communities are below the freezing mark early this morning; we note 30s all the way down to Mobile. The high will be in the 50s across most of the state this afternoon, but a secondary push of colder air will arrive later today, and temperatures could very well fall this afternoon over the northern third of the state with a brisk north wind.
COLD: Temperatures are generally in the 25-32 degree range over the northern half of Alabama early this morning, with mid 30s down into the southern counties. Expect sunshine in full force today with a high in the low to mid 50s this afternoon.

It is a breezy and cold day across Alabama; temperatures are in the 40s and with the wind, it is feeling much colder. By tomorrow morning a freeze is expected with upper 20s likely.
SEVERE CLEAR: We have a sunny and cold Friday across Alabama with most places in the 40s this afternoon. Another freeze is likely tonight; temperatures drop into the 20s for most communities with a clear sky and light wind.
Tons of sunshine in the cobalt blue sky across Alabama today, but despite the sunshine temperatures are only in the 40s, which are 10-15 degrees below average for this time of year.
THE ALABAMA WEEKEND: A warming trend begins tomorrow afternoon with a mostly sunny sky along with highs in the 50s. Then, on Sunday, clouds increase ahead of a disturbance to the west and some rain will reach the western counties of the state by afternoon.

COLD, DRY DECEMBER DAY: Temperatures are barely out of the 30s across North Alabama this afternoon despite sunshine in full supply. It is a bit warmer to the south, where Mobile has reached the mid 50s. Tonight will be clear and cold; most communities will see a low in the 20s
Tons of sunshine in the cobalt blue Alabama sky today, but despite all the sunshine, it remains a cold day with afternoon temperatures around fifteen degrees below average for this time of year; highs today are only in the mid-40s.
ANOTHER COLD DECEMBER DAY: Temperatures won’t get past the 40s for most of Alabama today despite a sunny sky. Some in the Tennessee Valley might hold in the 30s this afternoon as a new shot of colder air arrives.
COLD: The sky is sunny across Alabama this afternoon; mid-afternoon temperatures range from 46 at Huntsville to 62 at Mobile. Some clouds will move into the northern counties this evening, and a few sprinkles or flurries are possible across the Tennessee Valley tonight. But understand the air is very dry and most places will see no precipitation at all.
