DRY THROUGH TOMORROW: No major change in Alabama’s weather through tomorrow…partly to mostly sunny days, fair nights, and temperatures a little above average for mid-December with highs in the 60-65 degree range.
PLEASANT DECEMBER DAY: Temperatures are in the 58-64 degree range across most of Alabama this afternoon with a good supply of sunshine through high cirrus clouds. Tonight will be mostly fair a low between 36 and 42 degrees for most communities.
DRY THROUGH FRIDAY: Alabama’s weather won’t change much through Friday; expect mostly sunny pleasant days and clear chilly nights. Highs will be in the 57-63 degree range, with lows in the 30s and 40s.
PLEASANT DECEMBER AFTERNOON: Temperatures are in the upper 50s and low 60s across Alabama this afternoon with a good supply of sunshine through high clouds. We note the average high for Birmingham on December 12 is 58. Tonight will be fair and cold with a low in the 30s; some colder spots will see a freeze by daybreak tomorrow.
Today will be an another sunny day with highs ranging from the upper 50s across North Alabama, to the mid 60s along the Gulf Coast. The weather will stay dry through Friday with sunny cool days and fair cold nights.

COOL DECEMBER DAY: Temperatures are in the 50s across most of Alabama this afternoon with sunshine through high thin cirrus clouds. Tonight will be mostly fair with a low in the 35-45 degree range. A colder spots could see a light freeze across North Alabama.
DRY THROUGH FRIDAY: Alabama’s weather won’t change much through Friday. A surge of cooler air will drop into the state tomorrow; highs will be in the 50s statewide. A freeze is likely early Thursday across North/Central Alabama, but we warm back into the 60s by Friday. Dry air means sunny days and fair nights.
QUIET WEEK: Alabama’s weather will stay dry through Friday with mostly sunny days and fair nights. Colder air drops into the state Wednesday, and by early Thursday morning temperatures will be below freezing over the northern half of the state. Highs Wednesday and Thursday will be mostly in the 50s, then rising into the 60s Friday.
QUIET WEEK: Alabama’s weather will be dry through Friday with mostly sunny days and fair nights. A clipper system is north of the state, and will push a dry cold front through here late this afternoon. It will simply serve to reinforce the dry air in place. Highs today will range from the upper 50s across the Tennessee Valley to the upper 60s near the coast.
Today will be another mostly sunny day with a high in the 50s over North Alabama, with 60s for the southern counties of the state. Another freeze is likely for some early tomorrow, then we will have a warming trend through the weekend.
MORE RAIN ON THE WAY: Alabama is rain-free early this morning, but we note a large mass of rain over parts of Louisiana and Southwest Mississippi, and some of that will likely reach the southwest corner of the state later today and tonight. For the rest of the Alabama, the sky will be occasionally cloudy with a high in the 68-75 degree range.
CHANGES AHEAD: Alabama’s weather will stay dry today, but clouds will increase ahead of a cold front. Temperatures rise into the 76-82 degrees range this afternoon; the average high for Birmingham on November 9 is 67. Some rain could reach the northwest corner of the state late this afternoon, and showers are possible statewide tonight.
