MILD NOVEMBER DAY: Temperatures are mostly in the mid 70s across Alabama today with a good supply of sunshine…. the average high for Birmingham on November 10 is 67. Clouds will move into the state tonight ahead of a cold front approaching from the west.
COLD FRONT ON THE WAY: Temperatures are in the mid to upper 70s across much of Alabama this afternoon with a good supply of sunshine. Clouds will increase tonight ahead of a cold front that will pass through the state early tomorrow morning. A few sprinkles are possible over the northern quarter of the state along the front, but most places will see no rain at all in a dry airmass.
WARM SPRING DAY: Temperatures are mostly in the 78-82 degree range across Alabama this afternoon with a good supply of sunshine. The average high for Birmingham on April 6 is 72. The sky will stay mostly fair tonight with a low in the upper 50s.
SUNNY APRIL AFTERNOON: Temperatures are mostly in the mid to upper 70s across Alabama this afternoon with sunshine in full supply. Tonight will be mostly fair with a low in the mid 50s early tomorrow.
ANOTHER MAJOR SEVERE WEATHER THREAT: For the second week in a row we have a potentially dangerous severe weather setup for Alabama…. this one comes tomorrow afternoon and tomorrow night.
MARVELOUS MARCH AFTERNOON: The sky is partly to mostly sunny across Alabama this afternoon with temperatures mostly in the low 70s. Clouds will in increase tonight, however, ahead of an approaching storm system.
STILL DRY TODAY: After a beautiful weekend, most of Alabama will stay rain-free today… with a partly sunny sky look for a high in the 71-75 degree range this afternoon. Clouds will increase tonight ahead of a cold front that will bring a chance of showers, and possibly a thunderstorm, to the state tomorrow and tomorrow night. The main dynamic forcing will remain well to the north of Alabama, and severe storms are not expected.
MILD MARCH AFTERNOON: A few scattered cirrus clouds are over Alabama today at high altitudes, otherwise the sky is mostly sunny with temperatures in the 70s. The sky will stay mostly fair tonight with a low between 45 and 55 degrees.
RADAR CHECK: We noticed a few sprinkles on radar early this morning, but most of those have dissipated just before daybreak, and most of Alabama will enjoy another dry, very mild day today. With a mix of sun and clouds, we are looking for a high in the 68-73 degree range this afternoon. Clouds will increase again tonight, and rain is likely over the northern half of the state after midnight, and into the day tomorrow with a cold front drifting into the state.
SPRING FEVER: With sunshine in full supply, temperatures are in the 70s statewide this afternoon; about ten degrees above average for late February in Alabama. Clouds will move in tonight, however, with the chance of a few sprinkles or light showers after midnight.
ANOTHER BIG WARM-UP: Temperatures will rise quickly across Alabama today, with most communities reaching the low 70s this afternoon with a strong February sun. The average high for Birmingham on February 24 is 61. Clouds will increase late tonight and a few isolated showers or sprinkles are possible tomorrow ahead of a cold front, but most of the day will be dry with a high between 67 and 70 degrees.
SUNNY AFTERNOON: Showers that moved through Alabama earlier today are long gone, and the sky is now mostly sunny across the state with temperatures generally in the 60s… some South Alabama communities have reached the low 70s. Tonight will be fair and cool with a low between 37 and 44 degrees.
