RADAR CHECK: We have a classic case of random, scattered showers across Alabama this afternoon. There are few thunderstorms as well… otherwise we have a mix of sun and clouds with temperatures mainly in the 80s. Showers will fade late tonight.

More clouds than sun across Alabama today and through the weekend. The clouds will also produce with scattered showers and some rumbles of thunder the rest of today and into tonight. Highs today are in the mid 80s.
The Birmingham Folk Festival (BFF) will showcase diverse expressions of folk music including blues, bluegrass and gospel Saturday, May 4, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
RADAR CHECK: Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms are active this morning; some of the heaviest rain is falling over the northwest counties of the state along with other parts of the Tennessee Valley. Otherwise the sky is mostly cloudy with temperatures in the 60s and 70s.
RADAR CHECK: Most of Alabama is warm and dry this afternoon; we note a few very small isolated showers over the northern third of the state. Temperatures are in the 86-91 degree range. Showers could enter North and West Alabama tonight with the approach of a weak front.

Plenty of sunshine and very warm temperatures across Alabama for this first day of May and this will continue into tomorrow. Highs are surging into the upper 80s and some spots will be flirting with 90° the next couple of days.
Canfor Corp. announced plans to expand production at its facility in the Clarke County community of Fulton as it moves to optimize its operational footprint in southern Alabama, where it is also building a state-of-the-art sawmill in nearby Mobile County.

RADAR CHECK: We have an isolated cluster of showers south of Montgomery at mid-afternoon, along with a few other showers over the southeast corner of the state. Otherwise it is a partly sunny afternoon with temperatures in the 77-85 degree range.
