HCLTech has selected Alabama-based The Longleaf Alliance as the first U.S. recipient of its inaugural HCLTech Grant Americas.
WARM AFTERNOON: Temperatures are mostly in the 82-87 degree range across Alabama this afternoon with a partly to mostly sunny sky. Nothing on radar; tonight will be fair with a low in the 60s.
Plenty of sunshine and very warm temperatures across Alabama for this first day of May and this will continue into tomorrow. Highs are surging into the upper 80s and some spots will be flirting with 90° the next couple of days.
WARM DAYS: Highs will remain in the 80s across Alabama through the weekend; a few spots could touch 90 degrees tomorrow afternoon for a nice summer preview. The weather will be dry today and tomorrow with a partly to mostly sunny sky
RADAR CHECK: We have an isolated cluster of showers south of Montgomery at mid-afternoon, along with a few other showers over the southeast corner of the state. Otherwise it is a partly sunny afternoon with temperatures in the 77-85 degree range.
The morning rain and storms are pushing off to the east and south and most locations across North/Central Alabama will be dry this afternoon and evening.
RADAR CHECK: Rain and a few thunderstorms are over the northern half of Alabama this morning; the most widespread rain at daybreak was north of I-20. We also note a few scattered showers over Baldwin County… otherwise the sky is mostly cloudy with temperatures in the 60s. Most all of the showers should be out of the state by early afternoon
RADAR CHECK: Showers and a few thunderstorms are over the southwest part of Alabama this afternoon, and with the approach of a weak front will mention a chance of showers statewide tonight into tomorrow. The highest chance of showers tomorrow will come during the morning hours.
Little change in the day to day forecast across Alabama these final days of April and first days of May. Afternoon highs will remain in the 80s across Alabama for the foreseeable future, and as humidity levels begin to rise, we are going to see more clouds and the chance for scattered showers on a daily basis.
WARM WEATHER HERE TO STAY: Afternoon highs will remain in the 80s across Alabama for at least the next 7-10 days as our summer preview continues. Today will feature a mix of sun and clouds much like yesterday; then we bring in a chance of showers statewide tonight and tomorrow as a weak front approaches.
