At 11 West Oxmoor
Our very own Alabama Weather Legend J.B. Elliott recently authored a piece on John Brasher’s wesbite about the May 27, 1973 Brent Tornado. John was a photographer at the Centreville Press in 1973.
It is a fascinating account of the tornado from the perspective of the forecasters at 11 West Oxmoor Road, the location of the National Weather Service Forecast Office in Birmingham in 1973.
