Grab a front row seat for Storm Alert Xtreme right from your easy chair right now…

Skies are mostly cloudy across much of North and Central Alabama this morning.

Some breaks are showing up over the southeastern half of the area. Clouds are thicker over Northwest Alabama. Those thicker clouds are sweeping southeast and probably will keep us cloudy much of the day. Skies will clear tonight and tomorrow should be mostly sunny.

Drier air is flowing quickly into Alabama, especially at mid and upper levels. Still a good bit of moisture at lower levels, and a few showers are moving across Central Alabama. One batch is in the Berry/Oakman areas of Fayette/Walker Counties. Others are over in East Alabama from Centre down to Anniston. Activity is moving ESE quickly.

We will still see a few patches of light rain into the afternoon.

Winds are west and northwest at 10-20 mph with gusts to 25 mph. Lake wind advisories are in effect, so take care if you are out fishing on area bodies of water.

Temperatures are in the upper 40s to lower 50s. They have been steady or falling, especially at stations over the western half of the area.

Temperatures will continue to hold steady of fall through the day. Many folks have already seen their highs for the day.

So put on some chili, watch Storm Alert, and I hope your team wins on this Saturday.
