Just added several hundred more to the Alabama snow set below. These are fantastic… thanks to everyone who took the time to send us pictures!

    James, maybe somebody in the newsroom can confirm this, but I just heard that no planes will be leaving BHM airport until 3 or 4 this afternoon!!

    some probably will but most north of I20 probably wont.

    I measured 9 inches of snow in my back yard in Killen (Lauderdale Co.) this morning. This is indeed a nice snow.

    3″ in Morris. Everything covered including most roads @ 10 am. Most snow we have got in a while.

    Hey Dave, i listen to aviation about as much as I listen to public safety & B’ham airport is earily quite. I have heard them clearing onece or twice maybe for taxing but thats been about it. Have not heard it this quite since you know when.

    Roads are ok in the Valleydale/280 corridor. Temps are at 35 now….might hit 37 or 38 today.

    I think I’m going to send in an “Original” picture.. That is one that does not contain the following:
    The world’s ugliest dog that only its’ owner thinks is “Precious.” Milk and/or Bread. Any SEC Football Attire. My car in the driveway. My baby and/or children. Some drunk half-naked college kids in the snow…

    Atop Straight Mountain today…..didnt get above 28 & have had freezing fog all day….ice has doubled in size on tree limbs since this morning….Have 6 to 7″ of snow on the ground here with 1/4 ” ice cap on top of the snow.
