Thick fog has developed across parts of NE Alabama. Visibilities are down to 1/4 of mile or less for places like Scottsboro, Arab and Rainsville. Watch for areas of black ice due to freezing fog.
Recent rains have helped the drought conditions at least a wee bit across the state! Still a long way to go and sadly rain chances over the next week not the greatest.

We have the latest U.S. Drought Monitor information. Heavy rain across southern Alabama led to widespread improvements to the abnormal dryness and drought conditions there.

The latest U.S. Drought monitor was released today and looking at things over the past few weeks, only a few minor changes. More rain needed to put a dent in the drought…..and perhaps some coming in soon!

The latest U.S. Drought Monitor report has been released as of today. The data though is valid as of November 12. So what you see does not count the much needed rainfall that came into the state as of 7am this morning.
