Strong storms are pushing southeast across Alabama this afternoon. The week ahead will be hot and mainly dry.
Daily Rainfall Record for Birmingham Will Be Shattered: Additional Heavy Rain/Storms Moving into the Metro Now
Heavy rain and storms are moving into the Metro Birmingham area which will exacerbate the flooding situation around the area and further surpass the daily rainfall record we have already topped at BHM. In addition, a line of severe storms is nearing the Alabama/Mississippi border. The threat of severe weather and flooding continues.
At 2:00 PM: Severe Storms Continue To Push Southward Into Central Alabama
Severe thunderstorms with damaging winds up to 60-70 MPH continue to push through the northeastern quarter of the state and has now entered into the Central Alabama counties.
