At 7:01 AM CDT, Doppler Radar Was Tracking A Strong Thunderstorm Over New West Greene, Or 12 Miles South Of Aliceville, Moving Southeast At 35 Mph. Pea Size Hail And Winds In Excess Of 40 Mph Will Be Possible With This Storm.
Another stormy day for Alabama and the Southeast US with a risk for severe storms, but clouds and numerous storms are expected to hold highs in the 80s. The weather will be less severe Sunday and into the first half of next week, but storms remain a daily occurrence.
We continue to have stronger storms moving through the extreme eastern counties of Central Alabama, as they are associated with a MCS that is currently moving southward through Central Georgia at the moment.

At 6:00 AM CDT, Doppler Radar Was Tracking A Strong Thunderstorm Near Tims Ford Lake, Or Near Winchester, Moving Southeast At 35 Mph. Winds In Excess Of 40 Mph Will Be Possible With This Storm.
NWS Birmingham has extended the area of the Severe Thunderstorm Watch to now include Blount, St. Clair, Talladega, and Tallapoosa counties. Those counties, along with Calhoun, Chambers, Cherokee, Clay, Cleburne, Etowah, Lee, and Randolph counties, are in the Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 9:00 AM this morning.
The Severe Thunderstorm Warning For Northeastern Jackson And Northeastern Dekalb Counties Will Expire At 5:30 AM CDT
At 5:22 AM CDT, Doppler Radar Was Tracking Strong Thunderstorms Along A Line Extending From Near Geraldine To Near Cedartown. Movement Was South At 20 Mph. Winds In Excess Of 40 Mph Will Be Possible With These Storms.
