Radar at 6:02 AM shows a line of strong to severe thunderstorms about to move across the Mississippi state line into the western parts of North and Central Alabama.
At 6:04 AM CDT, a confirmed tornado was located over Red Bay, moving east at 50 mph.
The Storm Prediction Center, in conjunction with the local National Weather Service offices in Huntsville and Birmingham have issued a Tornado Watch for much of North and Central Alabama until 1:00 PM CT this afternoon.

At 5:44 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Pineflat to near Tremont, moving east at 50 mph.
At 5:36 AM CDT, Doppler Radar Was Tracking Strong Thunderstorms Along A Line Extending From Fairview To Near New Salem To Near Columbus Afb. Movement Was East At 45 Mph. Wind Gusts Up To 50 Mph Will Be Possible With These Storms.
