A strong thunderstorm with the threat of hail up to 1/2-inch in diameter and strong winds in excess of 40 MPH was located over Bogue Chitto and southeast of Uniontown. The movement was to the northeast at 30 MPH.
At 1256 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen, with locally higher amounts. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
