A warm, moist, unstable airmass continues across North and North Central Alabama ahead of an intensifying line of thunderstorms. The threat of damaging winds and isolated tornadoes continues through the overnight hours.
Storm with possible tornado will reach Northwest Alabama around 2 a.m.
A serious flooding situation is underway in Nashville early this morning and more very heavy rain is moving across the flooded areas at this time.
At 1231 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Pineflat to Hinkle, moving east at 50 mph.
A tornado watch continues for North and parts of North Central Alabama as a line of storms approaches from the northwest. Damaging winds are the primary threat, but there could be isolated tornadoes in the line as well. The tornado threat will decrease as the line nears the I-59 Corridor early Sunday.
