RADAR CHECK: A line of showers and thunderstorms is moving through Southeast Alabama this afternoon. There is still a low end severe weather threat with these storms… some of them could produce gusty winds as they pass through.
Most of the rain and storms are down across southeastern portions of the state this afternoon, and all the storms should be out of the state by late this evening. However, through the afternoon hours, the SPC maintains the risk of severe weather for eastern and southeastern portions of the state.
Whether you prefer it roasted, smoked or fried, no food is more tied to the Thanksgiving celebration than the centerpiece of the special day’s feast – the turkey.
RADAR CHECK: Thankfully severe thunderstorms were a no-show for Alabama overnight, no watches, no warnings. Just wind and rain; gradient winds gusted to 40 mph in spots as widespread rain covered the state.
The threat of severe weather across Alabama has greatly diminished tonight, but we can’t rule out a severe storm over night over southwestern sections. Severe weather is possible later today across the southern half of Alabama.
