Another Very Wet Day

| March 10, 2016 @ 10:42 am

The western portions of the Lower Mississippi River Valley had another very wet 24-hour period ending at 6 am this morning. As you can see from the graphic below, the rainfall amounts across the area of eastern Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana were in the range of 6 to 10 inches. This is the second day with very high rainfall totals.

Unfortunately this system is rather slow to move anywhere, so much of the area that has seen so much rain over the last couple of days remains under numerous flood/flash flood watches, warnings, and advisories.
