Early Morning Look at Alabama Weather

Radar shows our line of storms over Southeast Alabama from Russeell through Barbour and Covington Counties. More showers and storms are behind the main line from Chambers County through Macon and into Montgomery County. Light rain was being reported in Montgomery.

Temperatures are in the upper 40s to lower 50s this morning across North and Central Alabama.

A quick scan of the Skycams shows beautiful blue skies at Hamilton, sunshine breaking through at Jasper, a few patches of blue sky at Clanton and filtered sun at Tuscaloosa. Skies will be clearing as we go through the day.

Winds are light right now, but as we go through the day, they will pick up again out of the west at 10-18 mph. A lake wind advisory is in effect, but the NWS says it may be cancelled early.

Get ready for a few dry and seasonable days before we deal with another storm system Thursday.
