Alabama Weather Update…11 a.m.

A few light showers have continued through the morning hours over Central Alabama.

The extend from Hale, Perry and Bibb Counties northeastward up into Talladega, Clay, Randolph, Calhoun and Cleburne Counties.

The showers will continue moving northeast through the afternoon.

Rainfall amounts will be light and spotty.

Skies have cleared north of I-59, with only breaks in the clouds to the south. Skies will be mostly sunny over the northwestern third of Alabama this afternoon, and partly sunny south of there.

Temperatures are climbing slowly through the lower 70s. In the cloudier areas, they will have a hard time reaching 80. Lower 80s will be possible in the sunnier locales.

Look forward to fair and comfortable conditions overnight, with some spots getting into the 50s.
