Significant Tornado Damage in New Orleans East

A damaging tornado struck New Orleans East around 11:20 a.m.

According to ProjectNOLA on Twitter, New Orleans Police Units are reporting major damage to homes and structures from Crowder to Read between Dwyer and Chef. This is in New Orleans East just south of I-20.

NOPD is requesting all available officers to New Orleans East to assist with emergency response.
