SPC Expands Slight Risk Area For Tonight to Include Most of Central Alabama

Here is a peek at the new Day One Severe Weather Outlook from the SPC:

No change in thinking, but perhaps a little more confidence that we will see a few warnings tonight.

Read down for a more expansive look at the parameters and forecast rationale.

The sun is out now for areas as far wast as Gadsden, Anniston and Calera. It is up to 64F at Birmingham and 68F at Tuscaloosa. Columbus MS is at 73F.

And when it comes to storms in Alabama, expect the unexpected.
