Quick Check on Alabama’s Weather…1:45 p.m.

Good afternoon! Here is a look at Alabama’s weather this afternoon.

The radar is clear across the state. The nearest rain to Alabama is over southwestern Arkansas.

Plenty of fair weather cumulus clouds generally south of I-59, with near total sunshine across the northwestern third of the state.

Temperatures across Central Alabama are in the 80s generally. Dew points are in the 50s.

Our next rain chances should come at midweek. The GFS flip flopped back to the best rain chances coming on Wednesday. Last night, it had predicted the system would slow with the best rain chances on Thursday. With a closed upper low, you can usually expect the movement to be slower.

Til then, it will be dry.

But the good news is that we should see a decent shot at some rain sometime around midweek. It should clear out well before the weekend, but look for another storm system by late Sunday.
