Early Afternoon in Alabama

There has been a decrease in rain over the north half of Alabama. Scattered rain continues mainly from Pickens and Lamar Counties NE to Huntsville and Scottsboro.

By far, the more significant rain at 1:15 was in a line from near Tuskegee southwestward to Mobile. Thunderstorms are a part of this line now and there is lightning return. Probably the heaviest rain was over Montgomery County. Also raining rather heavily near Mobile and Bay Minette. The showers and storms were moving toward the NE, but the whole system was shifting eastward as cooler air continues to push into West Alabama.
