SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR NORTHERN PERRY…EASTERN HALE AND SOUTHWESTERN BIBB COUNTIES UNTIL 6:15 PM CDT
At 5:25 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Moundville to 6 miles west of Marion. Movement was northeast at 20 mph. Winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with these storms.

Marion, Greensboro, Akron, Newbern, Greensboro Municipal Airport, Low Gap, Mertz, Heiberger, Judson College, Morgan Springs, Folsom, Phipps, Sprott, Harper Hill, Wateroak, Ellards, Havana and Laneville.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
