Areal Flood Warning for Dallas, Greene, Hale, Marengo and Perry Counties till 7:15 PM CDT

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Flood Warning for Urban Areas and Small Streams in…
Marengo County in southwestern Alabama…
Perry County in Alabama…
Eastern Greene County in west central Alabama…
Hale County in west central Alabama…
Dallas County in south central Alabama…

* Until 715 PM CDT

* At 416 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated rainfall of 2 to 4 inches
of rain the past 24 hours, with higher totals approaching 6
inches. Much of the heavy rainfall is over, but several roadways
remainedd impassable or have damage associated with the previous
flooding. Therefore, there is still a danger out there.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Selma, Demopolis, Valley Grande, Marion, Eutaw, Greensboro, Linden,
Uniontown, Selmont-West Selmont, Jefferson, Moundville, Forkland,
Thomaston, Akron, Sweet Water, Orrville, Newbern, Myrtlewood,
Faunsdale and Dayton.
