Cold air

A look at the morning computer models (and the large area of temperatures between -20 and -60 over Alaska and Canada) confirms that the cold air is coming our way. The GFS, European, UKMET, and NOGAPS models all indicate a major Arctic blast. The Canadian GEM shows cold air also…but seems to hold it back just a little.

Take a look at these charts of temperatures and winds from the GFS for next week. We are looking at 3 cold fronts…one tonight, one Monday night, and one on Thursday. Below each chart, I put in the BHM temp/wind chill.
