Yes, That Was Your WeatherRadio: Tropical Storm Warnings Issued For East Alabama

The National Weather Service in Birmingham just issued a Tropical Storm Warning for much of East Alabama through early Tuesday morning. The main impacts will start Monday morning in the southeast to the evening in places like Blount County.

Winds will reach 35-40 mph sustained with gusts to 60 mph.

This could damage roofs, porches, awnings and sheds. Mobile homes will be damaged.

Trees will be toppled and large branches broken off.

There will be power and communications outages.

Rain amounts could average 2-4 inches across the southeast part of the area.

The situation is not favorable for tornadoes.
