Tropical Storm Warning Cancelled, Replaced With Wind Advisory

Irma has now weakened into a tropical depression, therefore the National Weather Service has cancelled the Tropical Storm Warning and will be replacing it with a Wind Advisory. Here is the latest from the National Weather Service office in Birmingham…

…Tropical System Irma will continue to bring breezy conditions
to much of Central Alabama into the late night hours through
around 4 AM…

…WIND ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM CDT TUESDAY…

* TIMING…Winds will decrease after 4 AM.

* WINDS…Sustained winds of 15-30 mph are possible with some
gusts up to 40 mph.

* IMPACTS…These wind speeds and gusts are capable of snapping
some tree limbs, damaging unsecured smaller outdoor items, and
may produce isolated power outages.

* COUNTIES INCLUDED IN ADVISORY…Blount, Etowah, Calhoun, Cherokee, Cleburne, St. Clair,
Talladega, Clay, Randolph, Coosa, Tallapoosa, Chambers, Elmore, Montgomery, Macon,
Bullock, Lee, Russell, Pike, Barbour, Marion, Fayette, Winston, Walker, Tuscaloosa,
Jefferson, Shelby, Bibb, Chilton, Autauga.
