Flooding Threat

The NWS in Birmingham has issued an areal flood advisory for Barbour, Bullock, Chambers, Elmore, Lee, Macon, Pike, Russell and Tallapoosa Counties till 11:30 AM CDT.

The NWS has re-organized the flash flood watch this morning in order to best portray the threat from heavy rainfall associated with Tropical Storm Nate.

Randolph County has been added to the flash flood watch that goes until midnight.

The flash flood watch has been canceled for Bibb, Dallas, Greene, Hale, Marengo, Perry, Sumter and Tuscaloosa Counties.

The flash flood watch has been extended until midnight tonight for Autauga, Blount, Calhoun, Cherokee, Chilton, Clay, Cleburne, Coosa, Elmore, Etowah, Jefferson, Lowndes, Montgomery, Shelby, St. Clair, Talladega and Tallapoosa Counties.

Areal flood advisories for minor flooding cover South Central Alabama.

Numerous flash flood and areal flood warnings cover nearly all of South Alabama.
