Dense Fog Advisory For The Southern Half of Central Alabama Until 9AM Monday

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Dense Fog Advisory, which is in effect until 9:00 AM CST Monday for the following counties…

Autauga, Barbour, Bibb, Bullock, Chambers, Chilton, Coosa, Dallas, Elmore, Greene, Hale, Lee, Lowndes, Macon, Marengo, Montgomery, Perry, Pickens, Pike, Russell, Shelby, Sumter, Tallapoosa, and Tuscaloosa.

VISIBILITY…Will drop to one quarter of a mile or less at times.

IMPACTS…Low visibility will make travel difficult. Motorists are urged to increase their following distance and allow extra time to reach their destinations.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A Dense Fog Advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving, slow down, use your low beam headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
