Winter Storm Warning & Winter Weather Advisory Extended In Time and Area

NWS Birmingham has added Barber, Bullock, Pike, and Russell counties to the Winter Weather Advisory and extended the expiration time for the entire advisory until 7:00 AM Saturday monrning.

NWS Birmingham has now included Autauga, Chambers, Dallas, and Elmore counties in the Winter Storm Warning and extended the expiration time for the entire warned area until 7:00 AM Saturday morning.


NWS Huntsville has cancelled the Winter Weather Advisory for Cullman, Marshall, and Dekalb counties. The wintry precipitation that caused accumulating snow has moved to the north and east of the region. While a few flurries or periods of light snow are possible this afternoon, the overall threat for additional accumulating snowfall has ended. Therefore the Winter Weather Advisory has been cancelled.

Motorists should remain alert to remaining patches of snow and ice on area roadways, and take precautions while driving.
