All Dense Fog Advisories Have Been Cancelled
With the rainfall falling throughout much of North/Central Alabama, it has allowed visibilities to improve enough to the point to where the for is no longer at advisory levels. Therefore, NWS Birmingham has canceled the Dense Fog Advisory for Central Alabama, and the advisory for North Alabama was allowed to expire earlier this morning at 3:00 AM.
NWS Huntsville has issued a Dense Fog Advisory for all counties in Central Alabama until 3:00 AM CST Wednesday. Those counties include Colbert, Cullman, De Kalb, Franklin, Jackson, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Marshall, and Morgan.
NWS Birmingham has issued a Dense Fog Advisory for all counties in North Alabama until 9:00 AM CST Wednesday. Those counties include Autauga, Barbour, Bibb, Blount, Bullock, Calhoun, Chambers, Cherokee, Chilton, Clay, Cleburne, Coosa, Dallas, Elmore, Etowah, Fayette, Greene, Hale, Jefferson, Lamar, Lee, Lowndes, Macon, Marengo, Marion, Montgomery, Perry, Pickens, Pike, Randolph, Russell, Shelby, St. Clair, Sumter, Talladega, Tallapoosa, Tuscaloosa, Walker, and Winston.
NWS Mobile has issued a Dense Fog Advisory for all counties in South-Central and Southwest Alabama until 9:00 AM CST Wednesday. Those counties include Baldwin, Butler, Choctaw, Clarke, Conecuh, Covington, Crenshaw, Escambia, Mobile, Monroe, Washington, and Wilcox.
NWS Tallahassee has issued a Dense Fog Advisory for all counties in Southeast Alabama until 9:00 AM CST Wednesday. Those counties include Coffee, Dale, Geneva, Henry, and Houston.
A Dense Fog Advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to less than one-quarter mile. If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
