Strong Storms Affecting Parts of Dallas County
At 12:37 PM CST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Central Mills, or 15 miles north of Camden, moving northeast at 35 mph. Winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with this storm.
Therefore, NWS Birmingham has issued a Significant Weather Advisory for Southern Dallas County until 1:15 PM.

Selma, Selmont-West Selmont, Orrville, Belknap, Bogue Chitto, Central Mills, Dallas Lake, Old Cahaba Park, Memorial Stadium, Dannelly Reservoir, Dallas County Horse Arena, Potter Station, Skyharbor Airport, Whites Bluff, Safford, Hazen, Craig Field Aiport and Crumptonia.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
