Dense Fog Advisory Issued for Central Alabama Until 9 a.m.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a dense fog advisory for all of its counties in Central Alabama. It will remain in effect until 9 a.m. CST.

Here is the advisory area shaded in gray along with the latest visibility reports. You can see the patchy nature of the fog The visibility at the Shelby County Airport is 0.75 miles, while at the Birmingham Airport it is 10 miles.

Visibilities will be reduced to less than one-half mile at times.

Use extra caution when driving this morning and reduce your speed.
