The National Weather Service in Huntsville Alabama has issued a

* Flood Warning for…
    Central and Northeastern Madison County in north central Alabama…

* Until 1030 PM CST Sunday

* At 1037 AM CST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated that widespread amounts of two to three inches of rain fell over the last 12 to 18 hours. As a result, tributaries along the Flint
    River are overflowing their banks, causing minor flooding. The
    Briar Fork is one of the creeks that is flooding this morning, and will continue to remain out of its banks through at least tonight.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
    Moores Mill, Meridianville, Maysville and Ryland.
    Flood waters are moving down the Flint River from north of Chase southward to Brownsboro. Although the gage at the new bridge on
    Winchester Road is not operable at this time, reports from this location indicate that the river is currently cresting, or will shortly, and then floodwaters will begin to recede through the day and into this evening. Any additional rainfall may causes river levels to rise once again.
