Marvelous March Weekend

| March 3, 2018 @ 11:58 am

This is certainly the best weekend of weather we’ve had so far in 2018. We are seeing a sky full of sunshine and tons of blue sky with no clouds showing up across Alabama early this afternoon.

After the chilly start to the day, with 30s for most locations, at midday we are seeing temperatures in the upper 50s and these will climb into the soothing 60s for most locations this afternoon.

For tonight, expect another clear and cold night with 30s for most spots. Our Sunday, will be a near repeat of today, with a sky full of sunshine and temps a tad warmer, most of us will be flirting with 70° tomorrow afternoon.

ACROSS THE USA: A powerful coastal storm will slowly move away from the east coast. Coastal flooding from the impacts of the storm will continue through at least Saturday.

Out west, an anomalous storm will continue producing heavy snow and high winds in California mountains and across the Great Basin. Strong winds in the Southern Plains and portions of the Southeast will produce critical fire weather threats.
